Tuition gives students access to attend all of the following:

Tai Chi fundamentals

Tuesdays 7pm – 8pm

This class is a must for novice’s and experienced practitioners. In this class, I go in depth on the basics of tai chi chuan practice. Students will learn basic stances, shifting weight, and exercises to loosen your muscles and joints. Furthermore, students will learn a 7 posture flowing form to get a taste of moving their internal energy (qi). Want to get a taste of what tai chi is all about? Don’t want to remember a really big sequence of postures but still want the benefits of tai chi? Want to deepen your practice of tai chi? Then this class is for you!

Traditional tai chi chuan:

Tuesdays 8pm – 9:30pm

Thursdays 7:15pm – 8:45pm

If seven postures of tai chi isn’t enough for you, then you may also learn the 108 posture long form. The long form is divided into 3 sections. Novice students will focus their practice on the first 13 postures of the long form for 3 months and then proceed to the second and third sections of the long form. Students will then have the choice of learning weapons forms (staff, sabre, sword), push hands (contact reflex exercises), and self defense applications in tai chi chuan.

Meditation Class:

Thursdays 8:45pm – 9:45pm

I introduce fundamental standing & moving meditation from the “mind boxing” tradition. A great class to cultivate energy for health and martial prowess. This austere martial art is known to be the fastest way to cultivate your internal energy. On top of meditation, students will learn self defense application work, power generation, and contact reflex drills. No prior experience required.

Classes are located at the Santosha Yoga Studio in Milton, Massachusetts. This location is located off the Milton MBTA stop on the red line (Mattapan Trolley). There is also plenty of street parking and municipal lot available in the area.

    Great classes so far Randy! This week Ive managed to get outside and practice Tai Chi (as much as I know of it) 45 minutes to an hour almost everyday this week. Towards the end of each practice the form felt different more familiar to me.
